Static Web Site Design - From £300

When providing a simple holding page for domain visitors, you gain multiple benefits such as.

  • Brand reinforcement: Ability to display your logo, tagline, telephone, email address and more
  • Replacement of a 'Page not found' message or registrars advert with your own marketing message
  • Receiving online conversions, even if it is only an email or telephone call
  • Introducing your domain to search engines for quicker indexing when you do launch a full site
  • Allowing other sites to link to your domain building PageRank

When adding extra pages you are multiplying these benefits. Each page allows you to reinforce or tweak your message providing extra opportunities to convert your traffic.

A static web site design sits squarely in between a holding page and a dynamic web site. An organisation may be at the stage where they want to display more content than fits onto a single page, but has no immediate plans to upgrade to a content managed solution.

However, we would always reccomend moving onto a dynamic website as their is little difference in design/development hours between a static and a dynamic web site so for around the same price you could have a site which you can update and even expand yourself.

Case Study: Bishopsgate Ward Club

Founded in 1790, the Bishopsgate Ward Club was originally a forum for the merchants, traders and other interested parties of the Ward to express their views to the Aldermen and Common Councilmen, linking them to the governance of the City.

The club were listed on the web - in portals and directories - which were were out of date and out of their direct control. The club requested that Webbed IT provide professional email services and a static website where they could present current data to be updated once or twice a year.

Once we had successfully transferred the club's domain from their existing registrar and configured their hosting and email addresses we created a 9 page site giving committee and membership details along with history, event and contact information.

The site was officially launched in February 2008 and has been submitted to Google, but is yet to be indexed, probably due to their site not yet having any inbound links.
